💖 From White to Wow: Why I’m Updating My Shirt Lineup

Running a small business means wearing all the hats—from printing shirts in my garage to designing the website you browse late at night in your PJs. After juggling a busy Mardi Gras season, I decided it was time to hit refresh—on everything.

A Brand-New Website Look

I gave the site a much-needed facelift! It’s now cleaner, faster, and easier to navigate (especially from your phone). Whether you’re shopping spirit wear, seasonal shirts, or funny gifts, you’ll find its way more fun to scroll through. Plus, the collections are easier to browse by school, vibe, or season. One of my favorite updates? The new Collections page that lists all that is offered.

Why You Won’t See White Shirts Anymore

If you’ve been shopping The Twisted Hippo for a while, you probably noticed that white shirts have quietly disappeared from new listings. Here’s the truth: white shirts are a headache. They attract stains, show every little smudge, and oddly enough, they’re the color that arrives damaged the most when I receive shipments.

Rather than offer something that doesn’t meet my standards, I’ve officially swapped white for two softer, more wearable neutrals—Ivory and Natural. These tones are still light enough to make your favorite designs pop, but they feel more boutique, hold up better in the real world, and are just prettier all around.

Comfort Colors is Taking Over (In the Best Way)

If you’ve tried Comfort Colors shirts, you know they’re in a league of their own. The fabric is washed for a lived-in feel, and the color palette is chef’s kiss—think sun-faded blues, soft pinks, mineral-washed greens. They scream spring and summer, and they bring something extra to every design I create. That’s why you’ll start seeing more new releases offered only on Comfort Colors blanks. They just fit the vibe.
